Partly it was because so many people were gunned down and in American Westerns, like THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE, there were far fewer deaths. Also, the long and graphically detailed torture of Clint Eastwood was too much for her to stomach. Sure many people are shot but there is little blood shown and it's choreographed to display great stunt work. There a difference between violence and gore.
